Maintenance Fitter
Job Description
Job Summary Fitter Trade and 3 years fitting experience OR no trade and 10 years fitting experience.
As a Fitter & Turner, you will perform mechanical maintenance on equipment and machinery
Experience will milling machines, lathe machines or drilling machines is required
Maintain equipment and machinery to ensure functionality, safety, reliability and availability within the specified timeframe and budgetary limits
Identify and report defects, equipment failures and time required to do repairs to the Supervisor
Support relevant personnel by ensuring that Root cause analysis, as well as the necessary plant and equipment maintenance preparations and maintenance tasks are done in accordance with Standard Maintenance Practice
Perform a variety of hand, bench and tool machine work by machining different shaped parts, computing angles of rake and clearance, specifications and shaping cutting tools to specified tolerances
Manufacture components with machining equipment in Workshop
General repair and maintenance over plant (housekeeping)
Responsible for building new plants as designed by the engineer to accommodate factory needs
Responsible for the wearing of your safety equipment
Responsible for following relevant work instructions and procedures as issued
Any other duties as reasonably requested from time to time
