Maintenance Controller

We are looking for a

Maintenance Controller

to supervise, co-ordinate and execute planned and/or unscheduled maintenance work within designated areas.


Reporting to the

Engineer: Plant

, you will:

Liaise with supervisors to identify maintenance and service needs and coordinate general maintenance work toward ensuring production targets are met. Perform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at the discretion of the Superintendent . Source potential new suppliers to ensure that the most efficient products are used. Supervise and control the activities, standards of performance and behavior of staff to ensure that the correct procedures are followed. Maintain and improve safety, health and environmental standards and practices. Administer maintenance-related data, documentation and records on SAP (time-keeping, purchase requisitions, stores orders etc). Prepare, control and maintain section budget by forecasting operating costs. Maintain and improve safety, health and environmental standards and practices.

About you

Matric (with Core Maths & Physical Science) / N3 /N5 Engineering Qualification (Advantageous) Trade Test South African Driver's License Supervisor Role experience for at least 3 Years Supervisory- and/or Safety training (advantageous) 5 year's heavy / mining industry / Maintenance Planning Systems experience General knowledge of plant-related equipment. Mechanically / Electrically - minded
