Job Title: Milling Machine Operator

Location: Verulam

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a suitable and qualified candidate for the role of Milling Operator in the construction Industry

Key Responsibilities:

Machine operation and setup:

Set up and operate milling machines (including CNC machines) according to blueprints and job specifications. Select appropriate tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.

Monitoring and quality control:

Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are finished to specifications. Inspect finished parts for defects using measuring instruments and maintain quality standards.

Maintenance and troubleshooting:

Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and basic cleaning on machines to ensure they operate efficiently. Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues as they arise.

Safety and compliance:

Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Record-keeping:

Maintain accurate records of production data, machine operations, and quality control checks.

Material handling:

Load and unload materials onto the machines as needed.

Reading technical information:

Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and machining instructions.

Qualifications and skills

Matric/NQF Level 4 certificate or a relevant technical qualification, along with practical experience. Specific qualifications can range from basic milling operations (NQF Level 3) to advanced CNC operations (NQF Level 4 or 5), Axperience as a CNC setter/operator in manufacturing environments is advantageous
