Job Description
Insights Print Group, one of the largest printing groups in South Africa has vacancy for a highly skilled Machine Minder to be based in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality newspapers within set deadlines, ensuring that all edition schedules are met.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for:
Mange and oversee the full printing process
Ensures all printed materials meet required quality standards
Adhere to required production schedules and consistently meet deadlines
Reduce waste and improve operational efficiency
Operate and maintain the CTP image setter and processor
Operate, monitor and maintain all printing equipment to ensure optimal performance
Internal and External customer liaison
Supervision of staff
Train and mentor junior staff
Compliance to Health and Safety regulations
Perform administrative functions
Ensure compliance to house keeping
The applicant must meet the following criteria:
Qualified Litho Machine Minder (rotary web offset)
Must have passed TT1, TT2, TT3 and served a recognised apprenticeship
Have 5 years relevant work experience as a Coldset Rotary Web Offset Machine Minder
Must have a comprehensive understanding of the CTP equipment
Must have a comprehensive understanding of the Harris printing press be able to operate and drive the Harris printing press, producing high quality products efficiently without supervision
