Job Summary An established company is seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Developer to join their dynamic team in Durban.
The role focuses on providing analytical expertise and developing AI and Machine Learning models to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) detection models and algorithms.
• Conduct data mining, acquisition, and transformation for Machine Learning training and inference.
• Discover and evaluate advanced Machine Learning methodologies and technologies.
• Develop, test, and code mathematical and Machine Learning methods using modern technology frameworks.
• Document algorithms, code, and models, ensuring quality assurance and proper registration of intellectual property.
• Collaborate with project teams and support the implementation of AI/ML solutions.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification (BSc/BEng/BTech) in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Operations Research
• Postgraduate studies are a plus
• 3-5 years of relevant operational, data analysis, or research experience in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or mining sectors
• Proven track record in analyzing data and implementing ML/AI solutions
• Python programming proficiency
• Machine Learning algorithms, predictive analytics, and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Data wrangling, preprocessing, and analysis
• SQL and database querying
• Big Data platforms (Microsoft Azure, SQL Azure, Data Factories)
• Cloud computing platforms (Azure)
• Computer vision and natural language processing (NLP
