Job Description

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our production department. We are looking for talented individual with relevant skills and experience for a Machine Specialist role, which is based in Pretoria. The successful candidate will report directly to the Maintenance Controller. Key purpose of the role is to maintain, repair and optimize plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality at minimum cost without sacrificing standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities xe2x80xa2 Mechanical standby as per roster. xe2x80xa2 Preventative mechanical maintenance work. xe2x80xa2 Membership of a fault-finding team. xe2x80xa2 Modification projects (whenever necessary). xe2x80xa2 Installation of new equipment. xe2x80xa2 Development of work instructions related to mechanical equipment. xe2x80xa2 Monitor and manage performance of equipment. xe2x80xa2 Optimize machine performance and lay-out. xe2x80xa2 Optimization of maintenance schedules. xe2x80xa2 Optimize machine availability. xe2x80xa2 Ability to work shifts and be available on call-out where necessary
Skills, Experience & Education

• N4 with electrical or instrumentation trade test. 5 years in the relative field. Siemens PLC will be advantageous. Experience in inspection machines, date coders and bar codes. PC literacy essential - Microsoft packages. xe2x80xa2 Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage. xe2x80xa2 Contribute to self and team development. xe2x80xa2 Plan budget and prepare the job in a systematic and effective manner. xe2x80xa2 Must be able to work under the pressures of a production environment. xe2x80xa2 Self-starter. xe2x80xa2 Must have an appreciation for quality and technical standards. xe2x80xa2 Must be able to liaise with Machine Suppliers and Technical Support from COF. xe2x80xa2 Must be able to carry out mechanical maintenance work. xe2x80xa2 Must have 'trouble shooting' skills.
