is a fast-growing U.S. telecommunications company seeking a detail-oriented

Low Voltage Estimator

based in South Africa. This is a

remote

, full-time contractor role focused on structured cabling, data, fiber, and low-voltage project estimating.

We are looking for candidates with

2-5 years of experience

who can work independently and accurately.

Responsibilities

Review construction drawings and technology plans Perform material takeoffs for low-voltage systems Calculate labor hours based on company standards Identify inconsistencies and generate RFIs when needed Prepare BOMs and assist with proposal preparation Communicate clearly with U.S.-based project managers Manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines

Requirements

2-5 years

experience in low voltage, structured cabling, or electrical estimating Strong ability to read and interpret construction blueprints Knowledge of CAT6/CAT6A/CAT8 cabling, fiber, racks, jacks, and pathways Experience with tools such as

Bluebeam

,

PlanSwift

,

KMeasure

, or similar Excellent written and verbal English communication Reliable internet connection Ability to work some overlapping U.S. hours

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with U.S. construction or NEC Prior experience estimating for commercial projects Ability to produce accurate cable length estimates Experience generating RFIs and construction clarifications
