Clover Cape Town is looking for a proactive and detail-orientated Loss Control Manager with strong analytical and leadership skills to reduce and curb risk to Clover property and staff. The Loss Control Manager is responsible for protecting company assets by preventing losses and maintaining security within the distribution centre. The role focuses on risk management, investigations, and enforcing safety and compliance standards.
Minimum Requirements
National Diploma
Business English: Fluent
Travel off-site/overnight stay
Work shifts/weekends/public holidays
Valid motor vehicle license
Experience in working with senior management
Computer literacy (Advanced)
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the Loss Control function
Develop, coordinate and implement Loss Control programs to safeguard company property and personnel
Assist management to curb product, crate, pallet and cash losses
Monitor and conduct camera investigations, both on board vehicles and facility based
Conduct investigations and report on findings
Initiate disciplinary process, both in investigation phase and in hearings
Initiate staff suspensions
Direct the activities of the security staff and manage branch security systems (i.e. Alarm systems, access control, camera systems)
Evaluate and report on current loss defense systems to determine effectiveness and limit liability
Manage staff
Manage own departments fixed cost and admin
Compile and manage fixed cost budget
Report all incidents on Entropy system, including corrective measures and execution plans
Manage Health and Safety function
Manage safety in line with OHS Act
Manage appointed site services
Oversee the following services: Clinic, Catering, Garden, Cleaning, Security and maintenance functions where applicable
* Conduct service level meetings with Procurement and service providers (monthly meetings)
