About the Role



We are seeking a motivated and proactive Corporate Affairs & Engagement Intern (12 months contract) to join our dynamic team in South Africa. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to gain hands-on experience in corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs within a leading organization.



Key Responsibilities

Support Corporate Communication Initiatives: Assist in drafting press releases, newsletters, and internal communications. Help coordinate media monitoring and reporting. Stakeholder Engagement: Support the planning and execution of stakeholder engagement activities, including events, meetings, and community outreach projects. Research & Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, policy developments, and stakeholder landscapes relevant to the business. Content Creation: Contribute to the creation of engaging content for social media, the company website, and internal platforms. Event Coordination: Assist in organizing corporate events, workshops, and community engagement activities. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Corporate Affairs team, including scheduling, document management, and database updates. Monitoring & Reporting: Track and compile reports on media coverage, stakeholder feedback, and engagement outcomes.

Requirements

Education: Recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations or Business Administration Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Social media savvy is a plus. Attributes: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge: Understanding of the South African corporate, regulatory, and media landscape is an advantage.
