We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate E-commerce Manager to lead and drive our online growth in the South African market.



Job Summary:



The E-commerce Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the e-commerce strategy for our Consumer Products Division in South Africa. This critical role will oversee all aspects of our online business, from driving sales and optimizing conversion rates to managing digital shelf presence and collaborating with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in e-commerce, a deep understanding of the South African digital landscape, and a passion for the beauty industry.



Key Responsibilities:



E-commerce Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy aligned with the overall business objectives of the Consumer Products Division. This includes identifying key growth opportunities, setting ambitious targets, and defining clear roadmaps for achieving success. P&L Management: Oversee the financial performance of the e-commerce channel, managing budgets, forecasting revenue, and optimizing profitability. Digital Shelf Optimization: Manage and optimize our brand presence across all major e-commerce platforms in South Africa (e.g., Takealot, Superbalist, etc.), ensuring consistent brand messaging, compelling product content, and effective promotional campaigns. Performance Marketing & Data Analysis: Develop and manage performance marketing campaigns across various digital channels (e.g., search, social, display) to drive traffic and conversions. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, optimize campaigns, and measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Develop and implement CRM strategies to enhance customer engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value. Leverage data and insights to personalize the customer experience and build strong relationships with our online consumers. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of e-commerce activities. Collaborate with external partners, such as e-commerce platforms and digital agencies, to maximize online performance. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of e-commerce specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to team members.

Qualifications & Skills:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 10+ years of proven experience in e-commerce, with a strong focus on strategy development and execution. Deep understanding of the South African e-commerce landscape, including key platforms, consumer behavior, and digital marketing trends. Proven track record of successfully managing and growing online businesses, with a strong understanding of P&L management. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Passion for the beauty industry and a deep understanding of consumer trends in the beauty market.
