Logistics Operations Co Ordinator

Job Description

To facilitate the achievement of the Departments Financial, OHSE, Quality, Sustainability and Productivity targets through the implementation of appropriate KPIs and related analysis tools and processes, as well as the control and measurement of the Logistics Service Provider (LSP) and other company departments performance.
Possible Tasks Within This Role

  • Facilitate the coordination of logistics activities between various company departments and external Logistics Service Providers (LSPs).
  • Support production by investigating any logistics supply issues and LSP-related concerns.
  • Monitor LSP personnel to ensure effective use of the companys systems, including SAP.
  • Establish and implement KPIs, checks, and controls to ensure that LSPs adhere to company-prescribed procedures and requirements.
  • Monitor and measure main logistics processes (KPIs) and ensure that agreed targets, trends, and deadlines are maintained at acceptable levels.
  • Monitor and measure inventory control processes (KPIs) to ensure targets, trends, and deadlines are met, enabling effective control of stock adjustments.
  • Investigate and review financial accounts in SAP on a weekly basis and present reports to Logistics Management and Finance Management.
  • Support and chair Gemba sessions and other LSP performance management meetings.
  • Monitor and measure Just-in-Time (JIT) supply processes and investigate any supply-related issues.
Qualification Requirements
  • National Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Logistics.
Experience Needed
  • Minimum of 3 years logistics operations experience within an automotive environment.
  • Experience within the companys Production & Logistics Operations environment will be an added advantage.
Essentials
  • Knowledge of the companys process control and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Proficiency in SAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills up to management level, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to improve existing procedures and processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse and inventory management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of JIT supply processes.
  • Good understanding of OHSE requirements and standards.
