About Us:

We have a growing logistics and courier division specializing in delivering eCommerce shipments to Distribution Centers (DCs) across Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town. We pride ourselves on providing reliable, affordable, and specialized courier solutions to our clients. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations and Logistics Manager to oversee and streamline our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Shift Details

Supervise and manage daily logistics operations, including shipment routing, dispatching, and on-time deliveries. Coordinate with drivers, dispatch officers, and warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflows. Ensure compliance with requirements for packaging, documentation, and shipment handovers. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the division. Monitor and maintain vehicle and fleet schedules, ensuring regular servicing and maintenance. Act as the main point of contact for escalations related to delays, rejected shipments, or incidents. Train and evaluate team members, ensuring adherence to company standards. Optimize routing, minimize delays, and enhance operational efficiency using technology tools. Maintain performance metrics and report on KPIs.
Minimum Requirements:

Education: Matric certificate required; a diploma/degree in logistics, operations management, or a related field is an advantage.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in logistics, courier operations, or supply chain management.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in logistics software and tools (Track-POD, Google Sheets, etc.).

Knowledge of Takealot's DC procedures is a strong advantage.

Other:

Valid driver's license, with PDP.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Salary: R8000 - R12000 per month (based on experience and qualifications)
