Are you a detail-driven Logistics Manager with experience in coordinating equipment, stock, and technical setups for events?
Our client, based in Boksburg is seeking a confident, independent person who will be responsible for overseeing event equipment, inventory, and technical operations across the company, while also supporting client-facing commercial event activities.
You will manage two warehouses (Cape Town and Johannesburg), coordinate technical installations, assist with client quotations, and ensure all equipment branding aligns with client and brand requirements.
This role is office based.
Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12) - essential.
Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or Events Management - advantageous.
Proven experience in a Logistics, Operations, or Technical Management role, preferably in: Events,
Technical installations, Retail or direct-to-customer operations
Experience managing multiple warehouses and high-value equipment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
Experience on stock systems
Experience with quoting, costing, and operational pricing support
Valid driver's license with willingness to travel between Cape Town and Johannesburg
Strong client-facing communication skills
Commercial awareness and attention to cost control
Excellent stock and asset management capability
Ability to balance operational delivery with client expectations
Strong leadership and coordination skills.
Problem-solving under pressure, particularly during live events
Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Liaison & Commercial Support
+ Liaise directly with event clients to understand logistical, technical, and equipment requirements.
+ Assist in preparing quotes for event jobs, including equipment, logistics, staffing, and installation costs.
+ Provide operational input into pricing to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and profitability.
+ Support sales and project teams with technical and logistical expertise during the proposal phase.
+ Maintain professional client relationships and act as a trusted operational point of contact. Equipment Branding & Presentation
+ Coordinate and manage branding of equipment for events, retail, and direct customer deployments.
+ Ensure branding specifications are correctly implemented and aligned with client requirements.
+ Oversee branding production, application, and removal where required.
+ Ensure branded equipment is maintained, stored, and presented to a high standard. Warehouse & Stock Management
+ Manage and oversee two warehouses (Cape Town and Johannesburg).
+ Maintain accurate stock control for: Event equipment, Technical equipment, Retail and direct-to-customer sales stock
+ Oversee all stock movements:
+ Goods received
+ Goods dispatched
+ Inter-warehouse transfers
+ Returns from events and customers
+ Implement and enforce stock management systems, processes, and regular stock audits. Event Equipment & On-Site Operations
+ Plan and coordinate logistics for event equipment transport, setup, and breakdown.
+ Oversee on-site installations, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
+ Manage equipment allocation across concurrent events and sales commitments.
+ Ensure all event equipment is tested, maintained, and returned in good condition. Technical Team Management
+ Lead, schedule, and manage technical staff responsible for: Event setups and breakdowns, Technical installations for direct sales and client deliveries
+ Ensure teams are adequately resourced, briefed, and supported.
+ Monitor performance and uphold quality and safety standards. Operational Planning, Reporting & Improvement
+ Develop logistics schedules across warehouses, events, and sales operations.
+ Monitor performance, costs, and resource utilization.
+ Produce reports on stock levels, equipment usage, and operational efficiency.
+ Drive continual improvement in logistics, branding processes, and on-site execution.
