LOGISTICS LEAD (IMPORT/EXPORT) - KEMPTON PARKWe are looking for a dynamic Young Qualified multi-tasker with strong analytical & problem solving abilities xe2x80x93 proficient in ERP Systems (SAP & LATIS) - and at least 5 years of experience in the import / export of hazardous goods and chemicals to take on the Key role of LOGISTICS LEAD (reporting to the Head of Supply Chain) xe2x80x93 to be tasked with managing and overseeing the transportation, import & export of goods throughout Africa for all operations of the organization, whilst ensuring compliance with all import/export regulations and laws.SUMMARY OF ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify and analyse the transport needs (main routes) and prepare a transportation plan for the company (defining volumes)Coordinate transportation and logistics activities with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholdersDevelop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs officialsDevelop and implement strategies to optimise import/export operations and reduce costs.Negotiate and establish a transport price data base for main routes (agreements)Prepare and manage documentation for the customs clearance processEnsure compliance with all import/export regulations and lawsRaise order requests for transport on internal ERP system (Latis)Support in the development of the sourcing strategies by identifying value creation opportunities and supporting in the sourcing execution.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCE:Relevant Qualification in Logistics / Freight Forwarding / Imports / Exports5 years of experience in import/export operations and logistics managementIn depth knowledge of import/export regulations and lawsProficient in the use of ERP Systems (SAP and LATIS) and Google Suite.Experience in Imports / Exports of hazardous goods and chemicals into African countriesExcellent communication, analytical & problem solving skillsSkillsImport, Export, Chemicals, hazardous materials, Logistics
