Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Logistics / Distribution Manager to join the Coega, Port Elizabeth team
Plan, coordinate, and manage all logistics and distribution activities across local and export markets
Oversee warehousing, transportation, and distribution to ensure optimal stock flow and on-time delivery
Manage third-party logistics providers (3PLs), transporters, clearing agents, and freight forwarders
Monitor and optimise logistics costs, fleet utilisation, and route planning
Manage export logistics processes including documentation, customs clearance, Incoterms, and international shipping
Ensure compliance with South African export regulations, customs requirements, and destination country regulations
Coordinate with clearing agents and freight forwarders for sea, air, and road freight
Manage export lead times, container planning, and cross-border distribution (SADC and international markets)
Manage high-volume, fast-moving stock with tight delivery timelines and shelf-life constraints
Collaborate with Sales, Demand Planning, Production, and Finance to align forecasts and stock availability
Ensure compliance with OHSA, road transport regulations, and company safety standards
Implement and monitor SOPs for warehousing, distribution, and export processes
Manage risk, insurance claims, loss prevention, and damage control
Requirements
Grade 12
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, or a related field
Minimum 5-8 years' experience in logistics or distribution management within an FMCG environment
Proven export logistics experience, including cross-border shipments and international trade
Experience managing warehouses, transport operations, and 3PLs
Strong knowledge of South African transport, customs, and export regulations
Strong understanding of FMCG distribution models and high-volume logistics
Experience with Syspro or similar system
Experience managing a large team
Candidate must reside in the Port Elizabeth / Uitenhage area
