Southern Fruit Trading is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role offers hands-on exposure to international logistics, supply chain operations, and global market coordination, with strong long-term growth opportunities.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and eager to learn. You will coordinate export shipments, manage documentation, and support operational activities across multiple global markets in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with cold stores, transporters, freight forwarders, and shipping lines
Manage shipping line bookings and export documentation
Perform Q67 checks and reconcile forecasts vs stock levels
Issue loading notifications and monitor container ages (incl. steri market failures)
Prepare and review temperature deviation reports
Provide vessel updates and shipping statuses for all markets
Send packing specifications to packhouses per client requirements
Verify packing orders against pack-outs and reconcile stock from packhouses
Arrange packing lists and invoices for freight forwarders
Allocate stock to markets according to packing specifications
Send packing plans and invoices to clients
Prepare and issue loading plans to markets
Ensure timely receipt of shipping documents from freight forwarders
Update all quality specifications on internal systems

Minimum Requirements
BCom degree in Logistics, Marketing, or International Trade an advantage.
Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken)
Valid drivers license
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Proficiency in MS Office
