Our client, a leader in the agricultural (citrus) industry; based in Somerset West, is currently looking to employ an experienced Logistics and Shipping Coordinator to their dynamic team.
Main Purpose of the Position:
- The role of the Logistics and Shipping Coordinator is to collaborate and liaise with stakeholders, organise and coordinate workflow and supplier relationships and manage deviations.
- Grade 12 as per the National Senior certificate requirements (Umalusi endorsed).
- A relevant B-Degree (M+3) at a recognized and SAQA accredited university will be advantageous.
- 3 to 5 years of integrated exposure to Logistics and Shipping experience, preferably in agriculture.
- Good understanding of agricultural production and supply chain.
- Good understanding of the portfolios of Logistics and Shipping.
- General business acumen
- Computer packages and system(s) currently in use by the company
- Collaboration with various stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Liaison with a variety of internal functional specialists.
- Organisation and coordination of workflow and insurance of integrated delivery.
- Organisation and coordination of 3rd party supplier relationships and Proactive management of deviations.
- Manage inspections and vessel tracking.
- Control stock.
- Manage marketing updates.
- Manage bookings, load outs, instructions.
- Collect and process data/ manage documents and invoices.
- Manage tracking and conduct close - out.
