Commercial Cold Store | Imports | PPECB | State Vet | Scheduling
A leading commercial cold store operation is seeking a highly organised Logistics & Planning Coordinator to manage vessel and container tracking, schedule planning, and regulatory coordination within our cold storage facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Update Transnet shipping schedules and monitor vessel activity
- Track containers from origin through arrival, port release, and cold store intake
- Coordinate internal cold store receiving, storage, and dispatch planning
- Arrange and manage PPECB inspections on-site
- Liaise with State Vet for inspections, permits, and release procedures
- Check and validate import documentation
- Communicate with shipping lines, clearing agents, PPECB, State Vet & internal teams
- Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics (advantage)
- Experience working inside a commercial cold store operation
- Strong coordination experience with PPECB
- Understanding of State Vet procedures (advantage)
- Experience in logistics, shipping, imports, or clearing & forwarding
- Strong Excel, planning, and communication skills
- High attention to detail & ability to work with time-sensitive schedules
