A Safari Lodge in Greater Kruger is looking for a GENERAL MANAGER to lead the team.
This Safari Lodge is situated in the Guernsey Private Nature Reserve, in the Greater Kruger area. Guests can relax in comfort while having an authentic safari experience. This role is ideal for an experienced individual who can manage all Lodge operations and is passionate about conservation, hospitality and the overall guest experience.
Candidate Requirements:

• At least 5 years management experience in a Lodge or Boutique Hotel, preferable in a remote/wilderness setting.
• A degree or diploma in hospitality or related field preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and guest relations skills.
• Strong financial acumen and operational management skills.
• Strong Food and Beverage management experience.
• Strong with technology and Property Management Systems (such as Nightsbridge).
• Valid license and PDP, and ability to work in remote conditions.
• Fluent in English (additional languages a plus).

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Overseeing daily operations, including FOH, F&B, guiding and activities, maintenance and housekeeping.
• Maintain guest satisfaction and overall guest experience, ensuring high levels of personalised service.
• Manage and lead a multicultural team, fostering a positive & respectful company culture, and staff wellbeing.
• Financial management: prepare, manage and reporting of budgets, revenue, expenses and profitability against targets.
• Be responsible for compliance and safety, following procedures and protocols.
• Ensure maintenance of the property is scheduled and completed.
• Represent the Lodge in local community and conservation partnerships, fostering positive stakeholder, supplier and governmental bodies.
