Lims Administrator (post Level 9)

Job Description

Duties/PligteManaging daily LabWare LIMS-associated laboratory operations, e.g. sample management, client projects and equipment, reagent inventory, document control, IT support, and logistics. Configurating LIMS according to laboratory requirements. Providing LIMS training for laboratory staff. Troubleshooting LIMS issues. Performing validation / verification of data entry into LIMS. Drawing reports (turnaround, inventory, equipment, etc.) to ensure compliance with the laboratory management system requirements. Managing testing and implementation of LabWare LIMS updates. Identifying opportunities for LIMS improvements. Developing and implementing SOPs to optimise workflows and quality processes.



Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
A minimum relevant NQF level 7 qualification in Biological Science or Information Technology. At least five years' technical experience working with LabWare Laboratory Information Management Systems or similar LIMS. Proven experience in laboratory information management operations. LIMS Administration Skills LIMS Basic Programming Skills Crystal Reports certification or equivalent Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., SQL, Crystal syntax and Basic syntax). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Effective communication skills Must be capable of working under limited supervision, able to evaluate operating conditions, and exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, willing to learn.
