Summary:

Join our vibrant team at Hoerskool Vorentoe and make a difference as a Life Orientation Educator. We're seeking a passionate and experienced educator with a minimum of four years teaching Life Orientation, specifically for Grades 8-12. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic and personal growth of our learners while being part of a supportive and dynamic school community.

Documentation:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). Qualified Teacher status (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years experience teaching Life Orientation. Strong preference for candidates residing in Johannesburg. Required documents: CV, Matric certificate, SACE registration, academic record, police clearance, SARS registration, and a letterhead.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for Life Orientation subjects in Grades 8-12, aligned with national educational standards. Provide engaging and effective instruction, support, and mentorship to learners to enhance their understanding of life skills, social issues, and personal development. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate innovative teaching strategies and technologies into lesson plans to promote learner engagement and achievement. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and promotes mutual respect among learners. Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback for academic improvement. Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and stakeholders to ensure transparency and collaboration in supporting learner success.
