Job Description
Our client, a prestigious law firm based in Sandton, is seeking a Legal Personal Assistant to join their Banking & Finance team. You will work alongside a dynamic team that provides expert legal advice to lenders, sponsors, and other key stakeholders involved in complex transactions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support and legal administrative assistance to the Banking & Finance team, including managing phone calls, calendars, and contacts.
- Prepare, follow up on, and organise legal documents, including typing and amending documents (Word, PowerPoint presentations) as per the lawyers' instructions, and filing emails and legal documents.
- Manage file openings (KYC, correspondence with clients, drafting engagement emails and letters, and handling billing tasks).
- Schedule appointments, book meeting rooms, and arrange travel as required.
- Follow up on time entries and expense notes, acting as the central support person for the department.
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, ideally within a law firm.
- Matric is essential.
- PA and/or secretarial qualifications will be advantageous.
- A stable career track record.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach.
Salary: Market Related
