Legal Director - JhbMultinationalTelecommunicationsAbout Our ClientOne of the biggest players in the Telecommunications space is recruiting for a Legal Manager. While achieving efficiency, they invest in new infrastructure and quicken the adoption of excellent technologies. Their objective is to continually deliver a robust network up time and superior client service.Draft and negotiate various contracts and documents and support the organization operationally and/or commercially (including with customers, subcontractors and other stakeholders).Serve as in-house subject matter authority on all operational and commercial legal issues which impact the business.Coordinate with regulatory and governmental authorities, customers, counterparties, and other colleagues.Ensure that effective contract management, dispute resolution, processes and procedures are developed, implemented, and continuously enhanced to protect the company.Oversee the preparation and monitoring of the Legal Department's annual budget.Continuously review the department's policies, processes, procedures and work plans in order to identify and recommend improvement opportunities.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree in law. Relevant postgraduate/ professional qualification in law will be an added advantage.Admitted as an Attorney in South Africa.At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, dealings at senior, executive management and/or board level providing legal advice and strategy.Good understanding of the telecoms business and regulatory environments (property related).A mix of private practice and in-house experience preferred as well as strong ability to manage outside counsel.What's on OfferMarket related.
