Job Description


Responsibilities

  • Measure the Groupxe2x80x99s compliance to legislation and report on all potential and actual compliance breaches
  • Facilitate the resolution of compliance breaches that reduces the risk to the Group
  • Maintain and update all compliance risk management plans for the Group Legal and Compliance Department
  • Resolve compliance issues by conducting thorough research into relevant compliance issues
  • Identify relevant new and existing legislation that impact the Group
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to update the regulatory universe
  • Develop and manage compliance monitoring programs
  • Regularly review all applicable policies, procedures
  • Manage audits and investigations into regulatory and compliance issues
  • Drive the change management and education of compliance
  • Review training material on compliance issues
  • Do all FIC financial reporting to the relevant authorities, including registration at any other regulatory bodies
  • Maintain an RSA and Non-RSA compliance dashboard and track general compliance with the PoPi Act in the Group
  • Track and maintain compliance with the NCA and Regulations and equivalent legislation in Non-RSA jurisdictions
  • Resolve legal disputed by conducting thorough research into relevant legal issues
  • Resolve or escalate all legal queries and litigious matters within specified time frames
  • Investigate and resolve all queries related to legislation in a manner that reduces the risk to the Group
  • Consult and advise stakeholders on resolution of legal matters and on interpretation of the law
  • Draft legal correspondence and documentation in a compliant
  • Report on the impact new and existing legislation has on the Group and highlight potential risks to the Group
  • Report on the status of compliance in the business and record all non-compliance issues to management
  • Draft and analyse all relevant audit and risk related reports and investigate issues to ensure compliance to relevant legislation
  • Compile the relevant reports for the Compliance and Audit Committee meetings
  • Deal with customer complaints
Minimum Requirements
  • LLB Degree (must be a qualified and admitted Attorney)
  • 3-4 Years post qualification experience
  • 3-4 Yearsxe2x80x99 Compliance experience
