Master's degree and undergraduate qualifications in Public Management/ Administration, Local Government Management/Supply Chain Management/Public Affairs
At least 3 years proven experience of teaching Public Management / Local Government Management/ Supply Chain Management within the public sector at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Preference will be given to applicants who are registered for a PhD with traceable progress.
Active participation in professional, public service and or community activities.
Proven experience in the delivery of poster or oral presentations at conferences or equivalent activities.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrate innovative thinking towards teaching and learning.
Conduct teaching, learning and assessment using a blended approach.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Provide leadership towards the department's strategic plan on teaching, research and engaged scholarship.
Conduct research and publish in high impact DHET-accredited journals.
Contribute to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules in the department.
Involve in postgraduate supervision.
Present at accredited conferences, workshops and seminars to enhance scholarly knowledge.
Develop collaborative relationships with relevant external stakeholder from government, civic society, industry and other professional organisations.
Serve in various administrative committees in the department, faculty and institution.
Undertake administration and other academic duties assigned by the Head of Department
Give guidance in curriculum design and implementation in the department and faculty.
