Lecturing in the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Master's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
At least 2 years relevant teaching experience in higher education or 2 years industrial experience in the Civil Engineering Industry.
Must be registered be registered with ECSA Professional Body or must be willing to register within 12 months of employment.
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
Lecturing Civil Engineering subjects in the Civil Engineering Programme
Develop innovative teaching and learning materials
Contribute to curriculum and programme development
Augment departmental research
Promote community participation, linkages, outreach and industry liaison
Supervise and mentor students
Assessment and academic development
Perform academic administrative duties
Assist with departmental administration
Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the Department.
Ensure good quality assurance practice.

Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Computer literacy in MS Office with good organizational and time management skills
