Job Description
Academy of York is accredited as a Skills Development Provider by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). The institution offers a wide variety of business-related programmes in the distance and hybrid modes of provision. The institution seeks to appoint a dedicated and experienced Lecturer in the field of Occupational Health and Safety, in a remote capacity. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include facilitation, student support and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging online lectures and tutorials aligned with curriculum outcomes. Develop and moderate assessment instruments. Assess students. Provide academic guidance, feedback, and mentorship to students. Respond to queries and support learners through digital platforms. Participate in curriculum reviews and updates. Contribute to the development of new learning materials. Attend staff meetings and academic planning sessions. Participate in graduation ceremonies and other academic events.
Minimum Requirements:
NQF Level 7 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent. Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience. Strong understanding of OHS legislation. Experience in facilitation and assessment. Excellent communication, digital literacy, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
