Lecturer: Multimedia (JB3499)

We are seeking a dedicated Multimedia Lecturer to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures and engaging with various aspects of course development, assessment, and curriculum enhancement. Previous experience delivering lectures both on-campus and online, preferably with hybrid (semi-remote/online) students

Educational Requirements:
Profound expertise in the subject matter coupled with a comprehensive background in the field, enabling valuable contributions to the teaching programs.
Essential qualification at NQF 7 level, along with practical experience in coding languages.
Relevant qualification in Multimedia Design.
Experience in teaching scripting code (HTML5 and CSS) at both first and second-year Diploma levels.
Proficiency in NQF level 5 & 6, respectively, and Web Design at NQF level 5.
Demonstrated management and teaching experience in a tertiary education setting.
A minimum of 3 years of industry experience and/or 3 years of lecturing experience.
Specialized knowledge in the discipline, crucial for developing effective teaching and potentially research programs, as well as providing comprehensive learning support.
Proficiency in MS Office tools.

Responsibilities:
Develop academic content and contribute to the creation of course materials.
Manage administrative tasks associated with courses and actively participate in departmental meetings as required by the management team.
Uphold a practical comprehension of service standards and initiatives aimed at enhancing quality. Continuously engage in personal and professional growth aligned with these standards.
Innovate by researching and crafting new subjects, courses, and teaching resources, including digital materials.
Engage in examination certification processes and support learners' academic progress.
Deliver captivating face-to-face lectures on subject matter.
Conduct interactive contact sessions with distance-learning students.
