What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:





Valid Learn-to-Swim or Swim Instructor certification from a recognized authority. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Proven track record in teaching Learn-to-Swim classes for various age groups. Deep knowledge of water safety practices and child development in aquatic environments. Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and develop a program from the ground up. Genuine passion for swimming, water safety, and nurturing youth development. Current SACE registration. CAPS curriculum. A clear criminal record.

The responsibilities are:

Design and implement a structured Learn-to-Swim curriculum, progressing from water orientation to advanced stroke development. Develop safety protocols and ensure strict adherence to aquatic safety standards. Create clear level structures, swimmer assessments, and progression tracking systems. Deliver engaging, effective lessons that boost water confidence and swimming skills. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and program expectations. Manage all program administration, including registrations, scheduling, attendance, and records. Promote the program and actively contribute to its growth within the community. Maintain teaching equipment and pool resources to ensure a smooth operation. Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring additional instructors as the program expands. Personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the school.




The successful candidate will start on

01 October 2025.
