We are inviting suitable candidates to apply for the Learning and Development Internship within Belgotex's HR department.

The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks to support the Learning and Development team within the HR department. The role will be reporting to Learning and Development Officer.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop training outlines, materials and assessments for input in Learning Management System
  • Prepare training resources required by coordinating with various departments for the inception of training
  • Accurately capture data for every training engagement inline with SETA reporting requirements
  • Editing, proofreading and formatting of training documents
  • Support the implementation of the assessment process
  • Meet with learners on programmes to provide programme support when needed
  • Interpret programme evaluation data to revise or recommend appropriate changes
  • Maintain project and all relevant L&D documentation i.e., policies, procedures, registers and certificates
  • Maintain and post L&D content on the SharePoint site
  • Assist with administration and data management related to learnerships and internships
  • Assisting with the implementation and conducting of a learning needs analysis
  • Assist with the co-ordination and implementation of various projects and events i.e., onboarding, buddy programme, learner graduation ceremonies and other HR specific projects
  • Keep up to date by conducting research with latest L&D trends, metrics and report findings/suggestions to L&D team
  • Scheduling & arranging of probation meetings with managers and employees
  • Assist L&D officer with the administration of career pathing for company
  • Assist with internship and learnership recruitment
  • Assist with all other ad hoc activities assigned

Educational Requirements
  • Grade 12 with mathematics / literacy
  • A completed diploma, degree / honours degree in Human Resources Management/ Human Resources Development/Industrial Psychology or any other relevant qualification
Required Technical and Soft Skills:
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office productivity tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Analytical Thinker
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Deadline and results driven
  • Maintain a positive attitude and provide exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions
