As the Learning Advisor Electrical, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of skills training programmes at our Engineering Skills Training Centre in Randfontein.

Platinum
Our Platinum business mines, processes and refines the entire range of platinum group metals (PGMs): platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium and osmium. We are the world's leading primary producer of PGMs, which have a range of specialised applications that improve lives across the world, from vehicle fuel cells to jewellery; dentistry to glassmaking; pacemakers to petroleum refining.



This role is responsible for the coordination, quality assurance and delivery of electrical trade, schemes, learnerships, skills programmes, specialised short courses.

Some of the key Training and development responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Integrate industry engineering best practices into learning delivery system at ESTC (Engineering Skills Training Centre in Randfontein)
  • Implementation and coordination of continuous evaluation in engineering skills training
  • Design new training programmes to meet organisational needs
  • Coordinate and schedule training capacity in support of engineering training strategy
  • Report progress against predetermined targets
  • Implement Marketing strategy
  • Conduct specialised courses
  • Projects implementation
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant legislations applicable to electrical trades
This role is at our Engineering Skills Training Centre in Randfontein in the Human Resource Development Department, at a Band 6 level reporting to the to the HRD Manager.

Qualifications
  • NQF Level 5 OD ETDP Higher Certificate
  • NQF 6 Diploma in OD ETDP will be advantageous
  • Electrical or Millwright Trade Certificate
  • Assessor and Moderator Certificate
  • Electrical certificate of compliance
Experience:
  • 5 years engineering SME experience, including 1-year supervisory experience and 2 years HRD Experience/Foreman experience.
  • Projects experience will be advantageous
Additional requirements:
  • Travel will be required to our operational sites on frequent basis
  • Driver License and Own transport
  • Medical fitness certificate
