Job Summary

  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree or equivalent in Marketing, with specialization in hospitality & events.
  • Business Administration qualification or related (advantageous).
  • 5-7 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in marketing and stakeholder/client experience; or similar role in a big multi-national corporation.
  • 4-5 years' proven experience in in leading and managing a team
  • 4-5 years' proven experience in budget management.
  • 5-7 years' of proven experience in events management.
  • A deep understanding of the events industry, including trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong event management skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools, and other relevant software platforms (advantageous).
  • Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive business growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with organizational objectives.
  • Stakeholder and Client Experience: Design and implement initiatives to create exceptional stakeholder and client experiences. Ensure that interactions with stakeholders and clients consistently reflect our brand values and result in positive relationships.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Event Management: Oversee and coordinate various events, ensuring seamless execution and optimal attendee experiences. Manage event budgets, logistics, and post-event evaluations.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and stakeholder experiences. Continuously analyze performance metrics and make data-backed recommendations for improvement.
  • Cultivate a Culture of Innovation: Encourage creativity and innovation among the team members to create unique and memorable experiences for our clients and stakeholders.
  • Cross-Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams, including marketing and communications, to align event strategies with broader business goals.
  • Client/Stakeholder Journey Mapping: Develop and maintain client/stakeholder journey maps for various brand engagements, making recommendations to enhance the quality of experiences at each touchpoint.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a subject matter expert on client experience for the Group Marketing function, providing valuable insights and expertise.
  • Event Execution: Lead the team in delivering high-quality brand experiences through events and activations.
  • Standardized Event Procedures: Establish and implement standardized event procedures for efficient execution within the Events Hub.
  • Platinum Events Oversight: Oversee all aspects of platinum event execution, ensuring meticulous organization and seamless operations.
  • Budget Management: Ensure all deliverables are met within the designated budget and adhere to existing financial controls in the Events Hub.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments for events, ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing contingency plans to address challenges.
  • ROI Reporting: Develop and provide reports to stakeholders on the return on investment (ROI) and impact of events and activations.
  • KPI Development and Analysis: Establish measurable objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for events, analyzing data and feedback to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use insights from post-event evaluation and participant feedback to continuously enhance event planning and execution processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate event records, reports, and documentation for future reference.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Provide authoritative expertise and advice to clients, stakeholders, and Group Marketing Exco.
  • Positive Work Culture: Foster a positive work climate and culture to energize employees and maximize productivity.
  • Performance Management: Ensure team members understand the Group Marketing strategy and their role in achieving it through effective performance management and annual objective setting.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources efficiently to deliver impactful experiences within financial constraints.
  • Event Budgeting: Create and manage event budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Financial Control: Control the budget for the area, authorizing expenditures and implementing financial regulations.
  • Risk Management and Governance: Implement risk management, governance, and compliance policies in the practice area to identify and manage exposure liabilities.
  • Non-Compliance Investigation: Investigate reported acts of non-compliance to organizational policies and practices and report findings.
