The Lead Deployment planningxe2x80x99s primary purpose is to ensure deployment planning solutions that provide for people, processes, and systems to be constantly challenged and improved.The lead should define an efficient and effective deployment planning process supporting business initiatives xe2x80x93 right stock at the right place and the right time. The lead should drive an effective plan for business execution through the monitoring and management of the deployment plan and itxe2x80x99s execution by the transport team.The lead should ensure on-going efficiencies and optimisation in the deployment planning environment so that the business has a sustainable competitive advantage in the market.To ensure integration and collaboration with the other functional teams within the greater supply chain to drive execution.To challenge the business processes that plan, schedule, execute, and analyse the supply chain performance in returnable packaging.To lead the deployment planning team which are accountable for all operational execution, financial and optimisation activities of the operations planning and product deployment. The incumbent will be the subject matter expert with regards to both systems and analysis of planning parameters used in operations planning and depot deployment. Oversight of balancing the supply vs. demand requirements across the depot grid.





Key Responsibilities

  • Review of operational performance and plans to ensure attainment of business metrics
  • Drive and manage the deployment planning teams to deliver on targets
  • Analyse and evaluate teams performance against operational metrics and provide recommendations and insights to management team and operational teams to improve performance and profitability
  • Manage deployment plans to achieve optimal productivity and within the required business and customer service SLAs
  • Build effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Professional communication, behaviour and actions result in a high level of credibility, trust and respect with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the receiving protocol at large customers and DC environments
  • Lead by example and ensure competent and motivated people in department
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement business improvement initiatives within the deployment






Requirements
  • A 3-year Degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or Management
  • Minimum of 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in an FMCG deployment planning or planning environment.
  • Working Knowledge of SAP R3, Blue Yonder and tableau reporting suite experience advantageous
  • Analytical minded, with good conflict management skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
