Job Description
Job Summary Layout Artist - Job Specification Qualifications & Requirements: * Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Fine Arts, or a related field. * Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other layout software. * Experience with typography, colour theory, and design principles. * Strong understanding of print and digital media production processes. * Attention to detail and excellent visual composition skills. * Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Portfolio showcasing previous layout and design work. Key Responsibilities: * Create visually appealing layouts for print and digital media, including magazines, brochures, advertisements, websites, and social media content. * Work closely with editors, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure designs align with brand guidelines. * Select and arrange text, images, graphics, and colours for effective communication. * Optimize designs for print production (preparing files for printing, checking colour profiles, bleed, resolution, etc.). * Adapt layouts for different platforms (print, web, mobile). * Revise and improve layouts based on feedback. * Stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies to enhance creativity and efficiency.
