Laser Operator, Hermanstad, Pretoria-West.

Completed Matric

Qualified and experienced CNC Laser Operator

Completed qualification in CNC or operations (beneficial) At least 3 - 5 years' experience in the supervision or management of a Laser Department.

Computer Literacy in MS Office (essential) Knowledge in production planning functions, Management skills, communication skills and leadership skills. Target driven, able to multi-task and work in pressurized environment. Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

The role will require a candidate with highly organized production management abilities, ensuring that equipment is functioning correctly, and that health and safety protocols are adhered to.

Maintain production targets by ensuring that the required products are delivered daily. Manage and address discipline and general work performance of employees within the department.

Monitor, control and ensure completion of all daily tasks within department. Act proactively by identifying, solving and/or reporting unforeseen challenges. Manage the department resources and all materials involved. Ensure the general neatness of the department. Manage and monitor tools within the department. Responsible and accountable for all OHS matters. Management of all machines. Control duties by recording the movement of products through the production process against preplanned schedules.

Identify and report production backlogs or material shortages. Report problems or situations to the Operations Manager. Ensure that all work done on production line is on standard and adheres to quality standards. Oversee QC in the department, quality assurance of materials and parts received and dispatched.
