Organizing and performing (analytical inspection & testing) the necessary procedures on packaging materials, raw materials, ingredients, in-process batches and final products, recording the results and advising adjustments/status when applicable/necessary
Assisting with creating, planning, organizing and maintenance of the necessary work instructions and procedures to assure quality and safe end products
Assisting with trouble shooting and corrective action activities, including validation and verification activities
Assisting with staff training
Laboratory Administration: e.g.
Releasing of products and/or processes
Printing of labels for final products
Stock take
Performing both delegated and non-delegated departmental activities
Compliance with all legislative regulations.
Perform functions as per the company's policy and procedures
Adhere to cost saving protocols of company and department
Ensure all Food Safety and Quality system requirements are strictly adhered to
Qualifications & Experience
National Diploma/Degree in Food Technology
Minimum 6 months to a 1 year experience in the Food Industry
Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Food Safety (e.g. HACCP) and Quality (e.g. ISO 9001) Management Systems will be beneficial
