Job Description
Purpose of Role
The role is responsible for sample preparation which contains fire assay and wet chemical sections
Role Context
Fluxing Filtration of samples XRF pellet preparation Grading analysis (PSD) Moisture analysis Fire Assay calculations and QC reporting Balance Room Operations Wet chem. Sample preparation Good housekeeping SHE Compliance Ensuring that samples are prepared and analyzed accurately and timeously Primary sample preparation in an analytical chemistry laboratory would be advantageous Secondary sample in an analytical chemistry laboratory Separation of precious metals of fire assay techniques would be advantageous
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Grade 12 with passed subjects (Mathematics and Science)/NQF Level 4 Basic Computer literacy
Job specific experience
Minimum 2 years Laboratory experience Fluxing Filtration of samples XRF pellet preparation Grading analysis (PSD) Moisture analysis
Inherent requirements
Must be medically fit
