The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to provide knowledge management services to the department.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-degree (equivalent or higher) in Information or Library Sciences; A minimum of 1 year experience in the knowledge management field; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.

Key Performance Areas
Provide administrative assistance in the identification, implementation and maintenance of knowledge and information services; Contribute to the conversion of tacit and implicit knowledge into institutional knowledge; Provide administrative support in the publishing and dissemination of management information generated within the Department; Administer the process of obtaining access to management and other information generated within the Department.
Competencies
Knowledge of the following:
Public service legislation, including POPI, PAIA, PAJA; Records management systems; Electronic content management; Policies and prescripts related to records and knowledge management; Project management.
Skills needed:
Proven computer literacy; Written and verbal communication; Planning and organising; Problem solving; Facilitation and presentation; Analytical; Project management; Innovation.
Remuneration
R 325 101 - R 382 959 per annum (Salary level 7)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to do a practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests.
