Job Description


Main purpose of role: Managing the runningxe2x80x99s of the kitchen with the FOH manager. Maintaining the monthly budgets Assist in leading a team of staff and managing them correctly. Key responsibilities and scope of role: Should have at least 5 year in a management role

  • Facilitate and co-ordinate training of new menu items, on the job training for quality & general improvement with the kitchen
  • Reporting any maintenance issues.
  • recommend any kitchen tools needed to assist with productivity
  • identify & allocate the correct chefs/cooks to the right stations
  • Quality control
  • Support for the team in busy periods
  • Keeping up to date on all admin
  • Variance and stock take
  • Menu and recipe development
  • Maintaining brand identity
Key behavioural skills: Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships as well as good communication skills Excellent time management with the ability to flex to changes in demands and priority Innovative, intuitive and persevere to get the right outcome Clear communicator who acts with focus and care Collaborative, learn from experience and adapt. Outgoing, friendly and positive outlook on each day Ability to remain calm and work under high pressure Qualifications and experience: National diploma in professional cookery or similar is desirable 5 year experience in same or similar role Knowledge and skills: Competent in the use of POS systems, experience with micros is desirable. Competent is Microsoft office, particularly excel.
