Job Title: Key Account Manager (KAM)



Role Purpose



The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned national and regional retail accounts for Tecno and itel. The role focuses on driving sell-in and sell-out performance, executing retail strategies, strengthening partner relationships, and ensuring excellence in in-store execution to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities:



Account Management & Growth



Manage assigned key retail accounts (national and/or regional) end-to-end

Drive sell-in targets aligned to business plans and forecasts

Develop joint business plans with retail partners

Identify growth opportunities across distribution, ranging, and promotions

Sales Performance & Forecasting



Deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

Build accurate forecasts and demand plans in collaboration with supply chain & retailers

Monitor sell-through performance and stock health (DOH, ageing, availability & EOL products)

Retail Execution & Marketing



Ensure strong in-store execution (visibility, pricing, promotions, planograms)

Work closely with marketing teams to roll out ATL/BTL campaigns

Ensure correct brand positioning for Tecno and itel across stores

Relationship & Stakeholder Management



Build strong relationships with buyers, planners, and operations teams

Act as the primary point of contact between Transsion and retail partners

Manage negotiations on pricing, promotions, and commercial terms

Reporting & Insights



Track performance vs targets and provide actionable insights

Prepare weekly business reviews, performance decks, and ad-hoc reports

Monitor competitor activity and market trends

Key Requirements:



Education



Marketing, Sales, or a related field

Experience



3-6 years' experience

in Key Account Management or National Account Sales

Strong background in

consumer electronics, mobile phones, FMCG, or retail



Proven experience managing

large South African retailers

(advantageous)

Skills & Competencies



Strong commercial and negotiation skills

Solid understanding of retail operations and sales drivers

Ability to analyse sales data and turn insights into action

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Strong planning, forecasting, and organisational ability

Resilient, results-driven, and comfortable working under pressure & in a fast-paced environment

Resolving key client issues and complaints

Other Requirements



Minimum Grade 12

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools

Experience working with multiple brands is an advantage

Package & Remuneration



To be discussed in interview and dependant on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R20000,00 - R35000,00 per month

Work Location: On the road
