Job Description


A packaging and manufacturing company in Port Elizabeth is looking for a Commercial Junior Key Account Manager with at least 2 - 3 years management experience. Four years previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, B2b sales. Strong communications and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.

Purpose of the Job

Customer retention, GP & Volume improvement, and provide leadership.

Main responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain professional business relationships with existing strategic customers.
  • Specifically, build and manage the relationship between 3rd-party manufacturer and end-users
of Box on Pallet products. * Negotiating and compiling contracts relating to pricing, rebates, stock agreements and SLAxe2x80x99s

with customers. In particular, manage price increases to achieve objectives set by
management. * Selling innovation for margin enhancement and strategic entrenchment with customers.
  • Ensure excellent customer relationship management with emphasis on problem solving.
  • Adhere to business plan as set by Sales Manager.
  • Gather market information related to trends, needs of customers, development of packaging
and innovation. * Value added group services to maximise profit by up-selling or cross-selling
  • Establishing and overseeing internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the
customer * Lead Commercial monthly business reviews and oversee pallets, debtors, stock, volume,

profitability and any SLAxe2x80x99s with the guidance of the Sales Manager. * Ability to forecast future sales.
  • Expanding relationships and bringing in new customers xe2x80x93 prospects are a particular emphasis
to de-risk the customer base. * Managing and indirect reports as applicable.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
  • Preferably a National Diploma in Sales and Marketing or equivalent.
  • Four to five yearsxe2x80x99 previous work experience in sales, management, key account
management. B2B and packaging industry experience preferred. * Must be in possession of a valid driverxe2x80x99s license, a working vehicle and be willing to travel

extensively across the Eastern Cape. * Fluent in English and Afrikaans both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
