Job Description


Minimum requirements for the role:

  • A Tertiary qualification in Chemistry or COSCHEM or related qualification is advantageous.
  • Previous key accounts / sales experience working within the personal care / pharma chemical raw material manufacturing or related industries is essential.
  • The company is happy to consider someone with a science qualification who is calling on doctors within the medical and pharma industries to train up on pharma raw material products.
  • The company is also happy to consider a candidate who is working in a technical role within the pharmaceutical market who would like to move into a key accounts management role.
  • The successful candidate must be a strong team player with the ability to build and foster relationships.
  • Must have a good business acumen with good analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills is essential.
  • Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Developing and implementing a multi-annual strategic plans with regards to driving and managing key accounts within the pharma, personal care and sports nutrition and related manufacturing markets.
  • Developing and implementing key account plans and strategies to ensure sales targets and objectives are on target.
  • Developing strong relationships with customers and ensuring strategic alignment.
  • Implementing the sales strategy, accomplishing market objectives and meeting targets.
  • Establishing and achieving monthly and annual budgets, based on customer information and forecasts and preparing annual budgets for senior management.
  • Identify new business opportunities by leveraging the full potential of the companys product and services portfolio.
  • Identifying customer needs and driving opportunities in agreement with the commercial business strategy and the market in order to increase customer profitability for a sustainable and profitable mutual growth.
  • Managing and delivering on technical queries with regards to specialised existing and new products.
