Job Summary
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have completed a National Senior Certificate
- A relevant degree will be a distinct advantage
- Minimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in the steel industry, with strong knowledge of mild steel (flat/plate/structural) products are essential for this role
- Must have strong leadership and organisational skills
- Good communication skills, specifically in English, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, will be required
- Must have a valid driverxe2x80x99s licence and be willing to travel within the assigned region
- Developing medium- and long-term go-to-market strategies and achievable targets.
- Motivating and developing a sales team in achieving sales targets.
- Coordinating and supervising all logistics operations, including distribution, transport, customer service, human resources, administration etc. for the region.
- Developing strategic partnerships with major consumers of mild steel products in line with the overall business strategy and set targets.
- Growing the companyxe2x80x99s footprint into new markets, within the KZN region.
- Developing and maintaining key accounts.
- Conducting research on key market information to enhance strategic decision making.
- Developing the budget per target sector, region and product lines in line with company goals.
- Setting pricing and product portfolio strategies, including market research initiatives.
