Junior/intern Digital Marketing Assistant

Job Description

Youll work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager, gaining hands-on experience across digital marketing, content coordination, brand communications, and event support. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual whos ready to learn, grow, and make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
Digital & Social Media

  • Schedule and publish social media content across multiple brand channels.
  • Monitor and respond to customer enquiries, comments, and messages across all social media channels.
  • Manage customer reviews on Google and Facebook via our monitoring tool, responding where needed and flagging serious complaints.
  • Conduct daily quality checks on all pre-scheduled posts to ensure visuals and copy are displaying correctly.
  • Assist with quarterly Google Review and Facebook Review reports for branch managers.
Marketing Coordination
  • Assist with sourcing and coordinating marketing materials, promotional items, and supplier deliveries for branches and head office.
  • Support the execution of campaigns, events, and national initiatives under guidance from the Marketing Manager.
  • Track creative briefs and follow up to ensure deadlines are met for proposals, designs, and approvals.
  • Assist with the design process and accuracy checks for our annual corporate calendars.
Events & Staff Engagement
  • Help plan and coordinate staff events, meetings, and national celebration days (e.g. Womens Day, Bok Fridays, festive events).
  • Support with setup, decor, gift distribution, and internal communication related to special days.
  • Weekend event assistance may be required from time to time, but this is very rare.
Administrative Support
  • Assist with travel administration, including issuing Purchase Order (PO) slips for confirmed bookings and maintaining traveller details.
  • Provide occasional support with invoices and supplier documentation.
  • Attend weekly check-in meetings to track project progress and priorities.
Travel
  • Occasional travel to branches for content production or event assistance may be required.
About You
  • Currently studying part-time, or have completed relevant courses in Marketing, Communications, or Digital Media (advantageous).
  • Strong writing and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Digitally switched-on: must be active on social media, confident navigating trends, and working across multiple brands and digital platforms.
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and eager to take initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic design or Canva skills a plus.
