Junior Web Developer

to join our team and grow with the company long-term.

This is an

entry-to-mid-level role

suited to someone with solid technical foundations, strong WordPress capability, and the ambition to evolve into a more senior development role within a fast-moving, creative business.

Key Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and update

WordPress websites

for internal brands and hospitality clients Develop and customise

themes and templates

to align with brand strategy and design direction Implement and manage

plugins

, performance optimisation, and security best practices Ensure websites are

responsive, fast, and SEO-friendly

Troubleshoot bugs, technical issues, and compatibility problems Collaborate with branding, marketing, and content teams to execute web projects efficiently Assist with ongoing website improvements, updates, and feature enhancements

Minimum Requirements

2-3 years of hands-on web development experience

Strong

WordPress development skills

(theme customisation, CMS management, plugins) Working knowledge of

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP

Understanding of

responsive design

and cross-browser compatibility Basic knowledge of

website performance optimisation and security

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Cape Town based

and available for on-site work

Bonus (Advantageous but Not Essential)

Familiarity with

SEO best practices

Marketing or digital strategy experience Experience working with hospitality, lifestyle, or consumer brands
