Key Performance Areas:

The purpose of this position is to assist and support the shift supervisor in duties such as ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct, maintain proper warehousing and inventory FIFO control, ensuring correct put-aways and picking of inventory for dispatch and ensuring that put away and picking assignments are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner.
The incumbent will also assist the warehouse supervisor in general asset management and will assist management with all SHEQ checklists, preparation for any and all audits and maintenance of procedures.
The incumbent will also be responsible for the staff on shift.

Knowledge and Skills:

The successful candidate will have matriculated, have a BCom/NDip in supply chain management, industrial engineering or equivalent qualification and experience working in a highly unionized environment.
Extensive Warehousing, Inventory Management as well as independent knowledge on ERPs, WMSs and experience with HACCP, ISO45001, 50001 & 9000 will be highly recommended. This position requires the utmost attention to detail, time management and prioritisation skills. Shift work will be required.
