Job Description

Introduction

To support Technical and Project Managers with vessel in-port maintenance and repairs. Assist in budgeting for dry docks, major in-port repairs, and new build projects. Oversee procurement of technical spares and services. Ensure quality control of repairs and fabrication work carried out by the in-house workshop and external suppliers.

Duties & Responsibilities

Attend vessels during in-port periods and supervise repairs carried out by in-house and contractor teams. Execute and manage naval architectural work on board vessels as required. Ensure quality control of repairs and fabrications in accordance with technical drawings, scopes of work, and safety and security standards. Assist with the procurement of technical spares, including high-cost and overseas purchases. Assist with the planning and budgeting of projects, including in-port maintenance, dry docks, emergency repairs, and new developments. Contribute to feasibility studies for new developments and offshore mining projects Assist in the continuous improvement of vessel and company assets through modernization and equipment optimization. Ensure compliance with Group Safety and Security policies. Conduct Risk Assessments for all relevant activities. Monitor and ensure compliance with vessel class, flag state, and local regulatory requirements

Desired Experience & Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, or related field) Proficient in CAD software Prior experience in an offshore mining environment, or within construction and workshop settings Background in naval architecture and/or vessel maintenance Strong interpersonal and customer relationship management skills
