Job Description
An established media publishing group based in the East Rand is looking for a meticulous Junior Sub-editor / Copy Editor to join their growing editorial team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong command of the English language, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for editorial quality.
- Minimum 2 years sub-editing or copy-editing experience
- Degree or Honours in English (Journalism beneficial)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written communication and editorial skills
- Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to remain impartial and uphold editorial fairness
- Edit and proofread content to ensure grammar, factual accuracy, tone, and layout readiness
- Apply the in-house style guide and editorial policy to all content
- Provide regular constructive feedback to writers to improve overall editorial standards
- Assist in content generation
