Job Description
Our client in the telecommunications sector is looking for a Junior QA Tester on a contract duration of 6 months. Suitable candidates must have BSS & Telecommunications experience.
Job Purpose:
To support the QA team in validating software applications and platforms used in telecom BSS environments. The Junior QA Tester will help ensure quality delivery of telecom services such as billing, provisioning, CRM, and order management systems by executing test cases, identifying bugs, and maintaining documentation.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in software testing
- Exposure to BSS components: CRM, billing, mediation, provisioning, etc.
- Familiarity with telecommunications processes (e.g., customer onboarding, number portability, prepaid/postpaid)
- Experience with test case management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
- Basic understanding of SQL for data validation
- Understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC
- Knowledge of OSS (Operations Support Systems)
- Basic scripting (Shell, Python) or automation experience
- Familiarity with SOAP/REST API testing
- Experience with tools like Postman, Selenium, or SoapUI
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field
- Relevant certifications (ISTQB, Telecom-focused certifications) are a plus
