A telecommunications company is looking for a new

WIFI

Field Technician

Responsibilities & Duties

Performing daily site inspections/installations/callouts

Performing troubleshooting of all technical, internet & network related issues

Installing & configuring hardware & software components to ensure usability

Repairing or replacing damaged hardware

VOIP configurations

Updating all relevant paperwork for work completed

Climbing on roofs and working on heights with the necessary safety equipment

Tidy and clean up after job completion.

Ensure all tools and equipment are neatly organized inside the vehicle.

Ensure daily stock is loaded.

Ensure backup stock levels are maintained in the vehicle.

Ensure that the vehicle is stocked with all necessary consumables needed

Qualifications & Skills

Driver's license a must

Fluently in English and Afrikaans (Spoken & written)

Matric certificate

1-3 Years relevant experience

Network experience will be an advantage

Experience with installation of internet services will be an advantage

Able to work and contribute positively as part of a team

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Good interpersonal skills

Good problem-solving skills

Must be willing to work overtime

Have a good understanding of equipment used for installations.

Able to follow and prioritize tasks according to instructions given.

Must show pride in work ethic and company property

Efficient time management.

Good working knowledge of hand and power tools used in this position.

Self-disciplined, motivated, and organized.

Must be a team player.

Must be presentable, reliable, and punctual.
